Jennifer Layzer : Taxidermy Party

(inspired by Bird Ornaments c. 1900, at the Peabody Historical Society)

In researching Victorian taxidermy, I came across the book Ladies Manual of Art or Profit and Pastime, published in 1890, which instructs in various crafts and decorative arts, with several sections on taxidermy. I imagined several ladies gathering together for a combination social occasion/amateur bird stuffing.
